DON’T CAN’T
Name Explanation

DON’T CAN’T. What’s in a Name?

At the premier of a documentary about his orphan ministry in 2015, Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko’s English was endearingly described as "amazingly terrible" by the New York Times. A double negative, the phrase ‘Don’t Can’t’ makes a perfect name for this campaign as it’s one that he often misuses and ironically has a powerful double meaning. In this spirit of humor, ‘Don’t Can’t’ has evolved into a motto of resilience and the ‘never give up’ attitude that Gennadiy and his community represent. It encapsulates our mission to support them and invites everyone to join all of Ukraine in overcoming the challenges they bravely face everyday.

Help us to hold up our heroes' arms in their darkest hour and walk alongside them as they strive to rise above the ashes and restore their community. We invite you to Don’t Can’t with us and be the cause of a good change.
